Ice Rescue Throw Bags
Unlike others, most MARSARS hand line
throwing products feature a buoyant ball. It is this unique ball that enables users to cast rescue lines to a 150' distance or rethrow within 20 seconds.
Purpose/Intended Use: Extremely compact, hand line throwing device spans 150'(45 m)
distance. Allows for accurate, tangle free throws. Use to advance a heavier rescue line (tag, snag, or zip line) across streams, small rivers or other flooded thoroughfare. Quickly connects to Messenger (B) or a larger line. If distance is less than 150', this low velocity hand throwing device augments and is often a safer alternative than using a powered line throwing device. Description/Specifications: Buoyant throw ball and leader core spliced to 1/8" (3 mm) polyester cord, in self-containing bag. Snap hook at bag-end for rapid attachment to a larger line. One practice training ball is included per order. Extra training balls are available at additional cost. Specifications: Rope: 1/8" (3 mm) diameter braided polyester, 540 lb (245 kg) average strength. Color: Orange Rope Length: 150' (45 m) Ball: 12 oz (340 g) hollow polyethylene (floats), safety orange color Leader: 30" (.77 m) length of multi-filament polypropylene (floats) Barrel knot: Located 29" from ball end Bag: Orange nylon with draw cord. Snap Hook: 1100 lbs. Functional Limit |
